With my Caldwell Fellow stipends, I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to travel abroad and to explore cities and culture that differ vastly from my own. During my Junior year, I ventured to Italy and took in the rich history, art, and people in Florence, Cinque Terre, Chianti, and Venice. 

 

a year later, I traveled to Portugal and stayed in Lisbon as a home base. I traveled up the coast to explore Sintra and then traveled down to the southern coast of Portugal to the algarve region to live at a hostel in the city of Lagos.

I believe that by traveling to new places with different cultural norms and perspectives, I am better able to navigate working with people from all across the globe with diverse backgrounds.
